The manuscript has been sent to the editors.
Yes, editors! Our partner, ThunderBooks, provided some extra funds to allow us to vet two editors. This will give us more options once we start helping other writers publish their manuscripts.
We're on track to complete the editor guidance by mid-November. We expect another month to review and implement that guidance, at which point we will have the final grammar edits. After grammar edits, we move to formatting and proofreading. Our target is still the end of January for the proofs to be approved.

Now that we've funded, what happens next? I've included the expected timeline from the campaign page below.
The first order of business is to get the manuscript to my editor. I have a few more edits from my peer reviews to complete in the next two weeks. Once the peer review edits are complete, I'll send the manuscript to my editor and send another post here.
EXPECTED TIMELINE
September - October: Campaign completes, and the book goes to my editor.
November - January: The Backerkit surveys are sent, the editing is completed, and the proof copies are printed and approved. Paperback and hardcover begin printing.
February - April: Books are received, and reward packs are assembled. Backer rewards begin shipping.

This is an anthology novel, with over 10 different stories taking place throughout the 5000 years of Ancient Egyptian history. One of the stories 'Journey to the Duat' takes place during the 22nd Dynasty of Egypt, more specifically 945-900BC. It follows Akusaa, the daughter of a Priest and an Oracle. She originally grew up in Alexandria before she moved to Bubastis. She worked in the temple library and cared for books on medicine herbs, magic, and theology.
